If you're trying to get that clutch changed before tomorrow's drive to work an extra hour of sunlight comes in real handy!

I prefer to have light on my drive into work. It was nice while it lasted. But in a month it will be here again.

DST makes programming a meeting system that covers many time zones just that much more fun.

100% Agree. I don't get the hate for DST. Why wouldn't you want an extra hour of sunlight in the evening, after work? The days feel much longer, it's just perfect.

Exactly and you'll also have more evening!

I wish we could just leave it on. I don't see the point of it being dark when I leave the office during the winter. Shift it once and be done with it

As a programmer I feel your pain.

I have to be at work by 7am so it's dark during the winter anyways, I'd rather have DST all year.

I was so confused when NPOCP turned up at 12 PM GMT instead of 1 PM today we don't have DST until the 29th.

Barbarians!

I honestly think we should move to DST and stick there. The parts of the year that are dark and cold I don't go out anyways. Not when the avg temperature in feb is 1.3F.

Time zones, work hours etc are all artificial anyways. I agree, lets do DST full time. For the record I start work at 7am so I can maximize my evening. DST just sweetens the pot.
![]() 03/09/2015 at 13:42 |

I start work between 6:30 and 6:45am. Not so I can maximize my evening but because I am told to. However, I used to start work at 6am and get off at 2:45. In June that led to almost 8 hours of sunlight after work!!
However, time zones are necessary to a degree although the exact line is arbitrary.

I live in Indiana so trust me, I understand that!

Remember that a lot of Gizmodo, and Gawker Media, writers live in New York or other large cities and do not do things like yard work or car maintenance. Personally, I love having daylight until almost 10:00 during summer.

DST isn't going anywhere. The government has to look like they're doing something so they can protect their phony baloney jobs.

They probably don't have to worry about getting the crops in either!

Well, except for their heirloom organic tomatoes growing in pots on their window sills.

DST is stupid. Changing times is stupid especially if you have a job that changes with it. Also the amount of Sun you get is the same regardless of when you wake up.
*lives in a time zone that doesn't do DST
